Mrs. Anita Louise Harrell was born on February 15, 1941. She was the eldest daughter of Louise and Leon Palmer Sr. She and her four siblings were raised in Newport, Rhode Island.

Florence Santa-Maria passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loving family, on Thursday, August 29, 2024 after a massive stroke and courageous battle with cancer.  She was 83.
