Lawrence James "Jim" Tyler, Jr. passed away suddenly on Thursday, August 1, 2024. He was 75. Born in Bristol, son of the late Lawrence, Sr. and Doris (nee Dolan) Tyler, he was a lifelong Bristol resident. Jim was a graduate of Bristol High School, and following his graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served in Thailand during the Vietnam War. He received the Vietnam Service Medal and the Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was employed for many years as a Forklift Operator at Graham Packaging, retiring 14 years ago. Jim was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan and loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters, Jayme Hummell, and her husband, Todd, Maria Huber, and her husband, Charlie, and Marlana Tyler, and his grandchildren, Korina, Logan, Kacey, Charlie, Cooper, George, and Steven. He is also survived by his three sisters, Darlene Gavigan, and her husband, Patrick, Barbara Rowcotsky, and her husband, David, and Mary Ann Tyler, and his sister-in-law, Colette (nee Koch) Tyler, along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Edward Tyler.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Sunday, August 11, 2024, 8pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Friends may call 6-8:00pm. Interment will be held privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, Newtown.
