Anne Louise Leps

September 19, 1938 - March 14, 2024

Anne Louise (Ibbotson) Leps passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at her home in Levittown surrounded by her loving family.  She was 85.  Born in Germantown and raised in Mount Airy, daughter of the late Harold and Florence Ibbotson, she graduated from Little Flower High School.  Anne was well known locally for her beauty shop at home, which she continued up until the age of 80.  In her earlier years, Anne was an usherette and candy girl at the Band Box Movie Theater.  Anne cherished her summers at her beach house, sunbathing in Strathmere and Ocean City NJ, and enjoying sunsets at Reed's Beach.

She had the utmost pride in all of her children, and was very close with all of her grand and great grand-children.  She will be deeply missed by all that had the honor to know her.

She is survived by her sister Mary Jane (Frank) Margiotti, her son, William Krautter, her daughters, Kristine Johnson, Joanne (Mark) Hullings, Carmel (Peter) Kabaci, and Liane (Michael) Friedrich; her grandchildren, Bobby, Ryan, Brittany, Melanie, Billy, Jackie, Peter, Mark, Sophia, Alex, Aidan, and Olivia, and her great-grandchildren, Wade, Max, Katie, Milo, Brentley, Brooks, Blake,  Margot and one on the way, and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, her daughter, Nancy Umberger, and daughter-in-law, Denise Krautter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Thursday, March 21, 2024, 11am at Queen of the Universe Church, 2443 Trenton Road, Levittown.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to The American Heart Association are appreciated.

"Crazy" Aunt Anne is how my kids will always remember her. She was frequently heard yelling, "whaatt?", "where's your brazier?", and "why does Mark wipe the kitchen counters so much?".
She will be missed dearly by my family, especially my mother, Maryjane. They were quiet the bathing beauties. First on the beaches of Somers Point, then Ocean City, then Strathmere where they roasted in the sun and laughed til people stared.
Think of Anne everytime you set your barefeet in the sand.

I remember when she worked with my sister and I, so many others and her daughters at Penn National as a receptionist! She was always so much fun and to have the honor to know her and her family is something I will cherish forever.

Joanne Guerriero shared a condolence

So many wonderful memories of your Mom at the campground in Marmora or just random discussions when I would see her outside working in the yard in Cobalt Ridge when I was out for a walk. I will never forget the laughs or the many trips we had to make to the Acme on 34th street after we left the beach. She was so proud of each of you and would talk for hours about what was happening in everyone's life. She will be missed by so many. Thoughts and prayers to all of you at this difficult time.
