Thomas Groark
January 25, 1947 - February 10, 2025
Thomas Groark passed away surrounded by his loving wife and family on Monday, February 10, 2025 at his home. He was 78 years old. Born in Pittston, Pennsylvania, son of the late Joseph and Rosemary (nee Dehner) Groark, he was a Bucks County resident for most of his life, living in Falls Township, Langhorne, and most recently, Yardley. Tom was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School and Trenton State College. Tom was a proud Veteran, who served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, where he rose to the rank of Sergeant. Tom was a member of the Marine Corps Division 281 and he faithfully attended the Funeral Ceremonies of Unclaimed Veterans at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. He retired from U.S. Steel, where he was employed for over 30 years. Tom was also a longtime member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians. He enjoyed traveling, blues music, and cars.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth (nee Quinn) Groark; his children, Kelly Greene and Brian Groark (Lindsey); and his grandchildren, Joseph Greene, Riley Greene, and Jackson Groark. He is also survived by his siblings, Michael Groark, Ellen Hricko, Patricia Fell, Eileen Ronan (Thomas), and Joann Groark (Patsy Somer), along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Committal Service with Full Military Honors on Wednesday, February 19, 2025, 11am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown. Please arrive at the cemetery by 10:45am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hope 101 at 101 Lower Morrisville Road, Fallsington, PA 19054.
