August 25, 1958 - July 28, 2024

Stephen Hanes passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne.  He was 65.  Born in Trenton NJ, son of the late Emil and Ellen (nee O'Rourke) Hanes, he was a lifelong Levittown resident.  Stephen worked as a construction manager for many years.  He enjoyed cooking, watching the History Channel, and spending time with his dogs.  He was a devoted Opa and always attended anything his grandchildren were involved in.

Husband of the late Genevieve Hanes, he is survived by his children, Jordan Hanes, Rick Bennett (Jeanine), and Bryan Bennett (Jen), his grandchildren, Logan, Olivia, Samantha, and Charlee Bennett, Malerie Bush, Nicholas Chesonis, Carmen Visco, and Anthony Safee, and two great-grandchildren, Julian and Love.  He is also survived by one sister, Anna Hoehn (Ron), three brothers, John Hanes, Edward Hanes, Richard Hanes (Rita), his sisters-in-law, Lynn Hanes and Barbara Mace, and several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay respects on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 6-8:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.  Interment, private.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Women's Animal Center, P.O. Box 1470, Bensalem, PA 19020.
