Lex Heinisch passed away at his home on Tuesday, January 21, 2025. He was 9 years old. Lex was born and raised in Croydon. He was a dedicated player on the Hulmeville Lightning Soccer Team and was in the fourth grade at Mill Creek Elementary School. He was an active member of the school community, where he played in the school band and was known as the "Mayor of Mill Creek". Lex was a talented musician, playing guitar, saxophone, bass, and the steel drums. He was also a huge fan of Metallica. Lex loved his family greatly, and sparked joy and love in everyone he met.

Lex will be sadly missed by his loving parents, Louis and Lynn (nee Martin) Heinisch, and his devoted brothers, Liam and Lucas. He is also survived by his grandparents, Jack and Dolly Martin, Michael Heinisch (Laura), Susan Rae, and Andy Martin; his extended siblings, Kat, Chloe, and Niki; along with his aunts and uncles, Nicole and Steve Johnson, Casey McKairnes and Jen Kopcho, Elise Koontz (Dan), Amy Westholm (Tom), Martin Heinisch, Shannon Johnson, Haley Arndt, Nathan Arndt, and Alan Ardnt. He will also be sadly missed by his very loving soccer family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Tuesday evening, January 28, 2025 from 6-9:00pm and on Wednesday morning, January 29, 2025 from 10:00am-12:00 noon. A Funeral Service for Lex will follow on Wednesday beginning at 12:00 noon. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hulmeville Lightning Soccer or GoFundMe to help keep Lex's Legacy alive through soccer.
