Dolores was my first cousin. She was 20 years older than I am. I spent a lot of time with her and the family as I was growing up. She grew beautiful rose bushes in her backyard and would bring bouquets to our house. She was very close with my mother. Whenever I see rosebushes I think of Dolores. And she was just as sweet as those roses.

I met Mrs Walsh when my family moved to 528 Locust street, way back when I was 4 years old. She was a wonderful, warm woman who always made me feel special. Her cousin, mentioned her roses. Well, in all my years, every time I smell Lilacs, I think of Mrs Walsh. She made our little part of the world fill wiith the aromas of heavenly flowers! I am blessed to have known her and will cherish the fond memories into eternity.
