David H. Leib passed away at St. Mary Medical Center on Saturday, December 16, 2023, surrounded by his family. David was born in Bristol to the late Harry and Betty Leib. My deepest sympathies to the entire Leib family. Dave (and his family) fed myself and numerous Troopers over the years when he owned Dales Deli. I saw Dave over the years at the monthly State Police retirees breakfast. Man he will be missed. What a great guy. Loved ya Dave. RIP. Kevin

A very early memory for me was Dave coming to my family home to pick Peggy up for a prom. When she came in to the room, he quietly whistled and said “You look faaaan-tastic, really emphasizing that first syllable. And it felt like he knew he had found the love of his life, which clearly he had. Dave and Peg shared a beautiful life together and built a beautiful family. Dave, you will forever be missed by all who knew you and you were a faaaaan-tastic brother-in-law.

I am very sorry to hear of David's passing. He was like an older brother to me and always joked that I could eat so much a Betty's Sunday dinners. A very kindhearted and genuine man, may he rest in peace forever.

My Deepest sympathy to the Leib family. Dave coach my 2 daughters for 3 years and was the best coach I have ever worked with. He and I spoke every couple months and we would just talk about are kids and what they were up to. I will truly miss are conversations.

What some folks may not know about Dave was how easily he could talk to people he’d just met. Over the years each of my kids’ spouses have told me about how much they enjoyed a conversation with Dave. He made them feel comfortable and respected. That is something to be appreciated and admired and it’s what I think about when I think of Dave….that and softball postgame at the Happy Hour, gravitating to a corner of the room during huge family dinners, and our wives’ relatives calling me Dave and calling Dave Peter.
