Timothy A. Reardon
Timothy A. Reardon passed away suddenly on Saturday, February 5, 2022 at his home. He was 78. Born in Bristol, son of the late Timothy and Jennifer Reardon, he lived his entire life in the same house. Mr. Reardon graduated from Bristol High School in 1961 and East Stroudsburg University in 1965. He was a teacher for 48 years at Burlington City High School, where he coached many sports but will be remembered as the Head Coach of the football team for over 26 years, where he notched a remarkable 137-104-3 record and had multiple division championships and state playoff appearances. Mr. Reardon sent many of his players onto successful college careers. He was inducted into the South Jersey Hall of Fame. In his younger years he coached men's softball in Bristol Borough for Galiones and Danny Paul's. He was a die hard Yankees fan but also loved watching all Philly sports. Mr. Reardon was an avid reader, enjoyed golfing, collecting baseball cards and a good glass of scotch.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, RoseMary (nee Lancieri) Reardon, his children, Dawn Irvine (Darrin), Vincent Reardon (Amanda), Mark Reardon (Cathy), and Toni Downs (George). He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren, Tara Walp, Ashley Downs (Joel), Shawna Walp, Brooke Downs, Timmy Reardon (Rachel), Linzy Reardon (Ryan), George Downs III, Paige Reardon (Aaron), Sammijo Reardon (Nick), Hope Reardon (Ian), Anna Downs, Gavin Zelonka and Jason Zelonka and his great-grandchildren, Dominic, Annabella, Tristan, Jonathon, Maelynn, Lillian and Noah along with his special cousin, Linda Sukkin, and many other cousins and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, February 12, 2022, 11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, Bristol Cemetery. Friends may call Friday evening 6-9:00pm and Saturday morning 10:00am until time of Service.
