Sheree A. Napoli (nee Mendick)
On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Sheree A. Napoli, 61, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Sheree was the loving daughter of Ruth Ellen Mendick and the late James Leonard Mendick. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Michael Napoli. Sheree is also survived by her siblings: Elizabeth Secrest and her husband Mark; James Mendick Jr.; Barry Mendick and his daughter Kelly Chismar (Jeff), and his granddaughters Eliana, Talia, and Elizabeth; Paula Knapp (the late Joe), and her son Daniel; and Dennis Mendick and his wife Amy, and their children Sean, DJ, Brian, and Nathan. She is also survived by her brothers-in-law Anthony Napoli and his wife Shirlee, and their children Christina and Andrew, and Mark Napoli and his wife Linda, and their children Rachel and Alyssa.
Sheree graduated in 1977 from Bristol High School. She received her RN, BSN from East Stroudsburg University in 1981. She started her career at Lower Bucks Hospital, and then Chandler Hall Hospice. For the next 30 years she worked as a Certified Occupational Nurse Manager at Rohm and Haas/Dow Chemical Company. She retired in December of 2018.Sheree was a member of the Bristol Cultural and Historical Foundation, and was a dedicated member of her home town of Bristol Borough. Her heart belonged to Bristol.
Sheree was the ‘Florence Nightingale’ to everyone she met. She had a quiet, gentle, kind, and giving spirit. She enjoyed time with her nieces and nephews, taking weekend trips with them to Lancaster. She enjoyed family dinners, and somehow found time to make handmade blankets for many friends and family. Sheree had a gift for making people feel like they were the most important person in the world, no matter who they were. The amount of people she cared for, thought about, loved, served, and sacrificed for are innumerable. She has left a tremendous impact on everyone she knew. There are no words to describe how much she will be missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, 11:30 a.m. at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment at Bristol Cemetery. Friends may call 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass at the Church. Donations can be made to Chandler Hall Hospice, 99 Barclay Street, Newtown, PA 18940. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
