Robert J. Colella

Robert J. Colella passed away on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at the age of 83. Born in Bristol, son of the late Augustine and Matilda Colella, he resided in Bristol and Croydon his entire life. Mr. Colella was employed in the Maintenance Department at 3M Company for 36 1/2 years and was also co-owner of My Three Sons Tavern in Bristol. He was a life member of the Bristol Moose Lodge, a member of the Elks and Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Mr. Colella enjoyed playing shuffleboard, Sunday trips to the flea market with his son, going antiquing, especially collecting antique ice cream scoops, and attending ice cream festivals in the promised land with his love, Arlene. Mr. Colella loved spending time with his family, his extended family and was very proud of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was instrumental in working with the kids from the Bristol Borough and Bristol Township School Districts cleaning and maintaining the canal.

He will be sadly missed by his son, Robert Colella and his wife, Marie, his daughter, Kathleen Colella Brannigan, his grandchildren, Robbie Colella (Katie), Stephen Colella (Justine), Amanda Armitage (Chris) and Dennis Brannigan (Tania) and his great-grandchildren, AvaGrace, Brodie, Everly, Nicolina, Giovanni and Vincent. He is also survived by his brother, Paul Colella (Diana) and his long-time love, Arlene Yates and her son, Jeff, his adopted dogs, Abby, Haven and Penny along with several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by his brother, Louis Colella.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, 11:00am at St. Ann Church, 357 Dorrance Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. Friends may call 9-10:45am at the Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your choice of charity in Mr. Colella's name.
