Robert Alois Lane

Robert Alois Lane, 90, a lifelong resident of Bristol, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023.  He was the beloved son of the late John B. Lane and Anna Cecilia Lane of Bristol, and brother of the late Walter J. Lane of Haddonfield and Cherry Hill, NJ.  He is survived by his devoted sister, Alice Ann Lane of Bristol, four nephews and two nieces, John W. Lane, Esq. (Mary Ellen), Dr. William M. Lane (Janet), Mark T. Lane (Elizabeth), Dr. Barbara Rich (Leslie), Nancy J. Lane (Linda Stipa), and Robert P. Lane (Jessica); by his cousins, Mary Frances Pennington (Maynard) of Levittown, and Ann Elizabeth Lane of Bensalem, as well as others in North Jersey.

Robert was a lifelong member of St. Mark R.C. Parish in Bristol and was a graduate of Bristol High School. He worked for many years at the U.S. Steel Plant at Fairless Works. Later he became an expeditor for United Engineers & Constructors in Philadelphia.  Finally, he worked several years for H & R Industries of Warminster before retiring.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Thursday, October 5, 2023, 11am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough.  Interment, St. Mark Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday morning, 9-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark Parish, 1025 Radcliffe St., Bristol, PA 19007.
