Rita I. Placchetti Pileggi

Rita I Placchetti Pileggi (11/11/1937 - 2/21/2020) of Croydon, Pa passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020. She was 82.

Rita was the daughter of Pasquale Placchetti and Laura Piotti Placchetti and the sister of Frank Placchetti (Theresa, deceased) of Lansdale, Pa., the sister-in-law of Dorothy Placchetti of Ottsville, Pa. and was predeceased by the rest of her siblings; Mary (Anthony, deceased) Colancecco, Anne (John, deceased) Burns, Benjamin Placchetti (Dorothy) and Angela (Charles, deceased) Schmeer.
Rita was married to Fred M. Pileggi of Croydon for 55 years. She is survived by a son and daughter- in- law, William M. and Sharon Pileggi of Morrisville Pa., and a daughter and son- in- law, Annamarie and Clyde Eric Grosso of Bristol, Pa. Rita will be missed by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was proud of her years working at Bell Telephone before she had a family. While caring for her family, she worked locally at the Bristol Township School District, Dr. Whyte/Brehouse office in Croydon and in later years she did volunteer work at Lower Bucks Hospital.

Rita enjoyed volunteering at the Bristol Moose Lodge and loved going to Red Hat Luncheons. She loved making new friends and enjoyed talking to everyone. She will be greatly missed by many.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 15, 2021, 11:00am at St. Ann Church, Bristol Borough. Friends may call 10-11:00am at the Church. Donations can be made to The American Diabetes Association or The American Heart Association. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
