Raymond J. Choinski

Raymond J. Choinski passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 27, 2025 in Altoona, PA. He was 79. Ray was a beloved son, brother, uncle and cousin. He spent his early years living in Bristol, PA. After High School he joined the United States Navy, where he served his country as a Machinist. One of Ray's favorite hobbies was fishing. Ray spent the last 17 years of his life under the loving care of the staff at Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home. He was friendly with the staff and they remember him fondly as having a sweet tooth.

Predeceased by his mother, Margaret Choinski, his father, Raymond Choinski, and his sister Margie McConnell (Bill); Ray is survived by his brother, Bill Choinski (Peg), his sister, Sarah Jayne Berkebile (Keith), along with many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Friday, April 4, 2025, 10:30am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's name may be made to the Hollidaysburg Veterans' Home, P.O. Box 319, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648-0319.
