Peter D'Agostino
Peter D'Agostino, Jr. passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania after a heroic 3 month battle with COVID-19 complications. He was 76. Born in Chicago, Ill., he has been a Bristol Borough resident for the past 10 years. Pete was a proud Vietnam Veteran, where he was a pilot with the BCO 158 AVN and survived being shot down 2 days in a row. After 27 years of military service, Pete became a pilot for Airborne Express and retired at the age of 60. He loved God, his country, his family, good wine & food, good friends, traveling and had a great zest for life. Pete was an avid golfer and belonged to the Union League of Philadelphia.
Predeceased by his parents, Peter D'Agostino, Wilhermina D'Agostino Cooper and Billy L. Cooper, he is survived by his wife, Mary Jo D'Agostino (nee Romano), his children, Peter D'Agostino III, and Billy Eugene D'Agostino (Kim), his grandchildren, Ariana Marie D’Agostino and Skyler Solt from Georgia and Taylor Lucero (Kimberly), of Florida. He is also survived by his siblings, Sandra Lynn D'Agostino of Denver, CO., Leann Winter, of California, Stephen Cooper (Diann) of Oklahoma and Donny Cooper (Ana), of California, his uncle and aunts, Ron and Beverly Cooper of Eufaula, Oklahoma, Evelyn D’Agostino of Libertyville, Illinois and Marlene Mellor of Homosassa, FL along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and members of the D’Agostino, Mellor and Cooper families and his in-laws from the Romano and Spann families.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Interment with full military honors on Friday, April 23, 2021, 9:00am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. Please arrive by 8:45am. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Friends may call 10-11:00am at the Church. The Interment and Memorial Mass will also be live streamed below or at https://www.wadefh.com/live-streaming.
