Pauline Tosti Michalski (“Tookie”)
December 7, 1937 – February 28, 2025
Pauline Tosti Michalski, fondly known as Tookie, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025 at Legacy Gardens at the age of 87. Born in Bristol, daughter of the late Richard J. and Josephine (nee Moore) Tosti, she was a Borough resident for most of her life.
Tookie was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1956, and was employed for twenty-five years at Simon & Shuster where she was the Supervisor of Inventory Control and well-respected and loved by many. She, in turn, loved and adored her Simon & Shuster family and cherished those relationships for the rest of her life.
Tookie loved the Bristol Borough community and participated in many projects and activities supporting the Borough, including volunteering with the Bristol Cultural & Historical Foundation, The Bristol High School Mothers’ Association, the Celtic Foundation, Columbus 500 and Women of the Moose. Tookie was most proud of her work as a founding member of the Veterans Memorial Committee where she worked tirelessly and was instrumental in the refurbishment and expansion of the Bristol Borough Veterans Memorial in Harriman.
Predeceased by her son, Stephan Forestal, she is survived by her children, Raymond Forestal (Terrie), Patricia Daniels (Tom), Douglas Forestal (Laura), James Forestal (Ginny), Pauline Boyle (Patrick) and David Forestal (Rosanne). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Ashley, Jason, Gwen, Nicolle, Andrea, John, Norman, Emily, Gina, Patrick, Chrissy, Nathan, Autumn, Steve, Colleen and John, and twenty great-grandchildren.
Tookie is also survived by her siblings, Josephine Lalli, Shirley Volponi, Robert Tosti (Elizabeth), William Tosti (Peggy), Andrea Harvie, Edward Tosti and Gary Tosti. She is predeceased by her brother, Richard Tosti and her sister, Patricia Holden.
Many will miss and remember Tookie for numerous reasons, but she may be most remembered for her bright smile and hearty laugh.

My loving, generous, lovable sister. She was always the first one there when help was needed. Life gave her a couple tough spots but she always came out on top. She was stronger then she realized. Iove her and miss her
