Paul S. Monte, Sr. passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Monday, June 14, 2021 after a brief illness. He was 70. Born in Lansdale, Pa., son of the late Lawrence and Doris (nee Schaffer) Monte, he was a lifelong Bristol Borough resident. Paul was an operator for Essential Utilities (formerly Aqua America) for over 25 years. He was a life member of Goodwill Hose Company #3 in Bristol Borough, and served as a fireman/engineer for Bristol Consolidated Fire Company Stations 50 and 52 from the 1960s through the 80s. In addition to being a talented woodworker and carpenter, he enjoyed growing vegetables and cooking in his later years.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 48 years, Suzanne (nee Morganti) Monte, and his son, Paul S. Monte, Jr. Paul will be sadly missed by his brothers, Barry Schaffer (preceded in death by Joanne), Larry Monte (Karen), his sister, Kim Konski (Kevin), and numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass on Monday, June 21, 2021, 11:00am at St. Mark Church. Inurnment will follow in St. Mark Church Columbarium. Friends may call 9:30-11:00am at the Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa 19007. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
