Patricia Anne Melling

Patricia Anne (nee Wade) Melling passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, December 12, 2024. She was 74 years old. Pat was a lifelong resident of Edgely. She was a graduate of Bishop Conwell High School, Class of 1968, and was employed for many years as a florist at Flowers by Jennie Lynn. Pat's family was everything to her.  She had no greater love than her two grandchildren, whom she cherished time spent with as she picked them up from school. She loved music, old movies, shopping with her daughter, and traveling with her husband and family. Pat also loved all of the holidays, but Christmas was the highlight of the year.  She meticulously decorated her home in preparation for her annual Christmas Eve party, which only grew larger as her family expanded. Pat's Christmas traditions inspired her family, and if you liked a certain ornament on her tree, she'd say, "oh, just take it."

Predeceased by her father, John "Luke" Wade, and her brother, Steven Wade; she is survived by the love of her life, her doting husband of 53 years, Robert "Mel" Melling; her loving daughter, Erin Melling, who selflessly took care of her mother over the years; her loving son, Rob Melling, and her daughter-in-law, Jennifer; and her cherished grandchildren, Robert and Mila. Pat is also survived by her mother and best friend, Bernice (nee Bechter) Wade; her sister, Maribeth Henry, and her husband Paul; her brothers, John Wade, and his wife, Barbara, Michael Wade, and his wife, Kathleen, and Mark Wade, and his wife Michele; her sister-in-law, Cyndi Wade; and her brothers-in-law, Art Melling, and his wife, Mary, Bill Melling, and his wife, Carol, and Stephen Melling, and his wife, Debbie. She will also be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Colleen Lecco, and her husband, Mike, Jacqueline Murphy, and her husband, Sean, Jenna Bedekovich, and her husband, Jeff, John Wade, and his wife, Amanda, Ryan Henry and Lisa Towry, Beth McDonald, and her husband, Mike, Steven Wade, Eric Wade, and his wife, Elizabeth, Stephen Wade, and his wife, Ashley, Maura Sanko, and her husband, Doug, Michele DeLisa, and her husband, Mike, Julia Wade, and Luke Wade, and his fiancé, Andrew Laureti, as well as many great-nieces and nephews.  Pat was also predeceased by her sister-in-law, Irene Melling Genontianos.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, December 20, 2024, 10:30am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday evening, 7-9:00pm and Friday morning, 9-10:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007.
