Ottavio Barbiero, Sr.

Ottavio Barbiero, Sr., (aka Tommy), husband, father, brother, grandfather and great-grandfather passed away on Monday, November 21, 2023, at his home in Morrisville. He was 86.
Born in Pedivigliano, Italy to Carmine and Maria Theresa, he remained there until he was twenty and came to America in 1956. He started his journey in America in Trenton, NJ, and began his working career as a baker. Tommy then moved onto Mercer Paper Tubing where he was a laborer, proud union member and loyal employee for forty years. He rose to the level of Shop Steward for the Union. He then met his true love Carmella and they were married on November 16, 1963, and resided in Bristol, Pa. In 1978, they took the plunge and built their dream home on Simons Drive, Morrisville. Carmella and Tommy shared a beautiful and loving marriage of 49 years.
Tommy loved to travel, especially to Italy where he would visit his brothers, sister and all of his nieces and nephews. He was also a loyal fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He believed in hard work, family and sharing his stories of life on the farm.
Tommy is survived by his brother Anardo(Rita), his sons Ottavio Jr. and his wife Linda, Michael and his wife Lisa, his five grand children, Isabella, Stephanie, Nicole, Nicholas and Alex, his six great-grandchildren, Mike, Jade, Sean, Dominic, Ylonvieux and Harley. He was also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Tommy was preceded in death by his soulmate Carmella, his sisters Chiarina(Giovanni), Assunta(Francesco), his brothers Antonio(Rinda), Raimondo(Gilda), Ettore(Rosa), Emilio(Marietta), Fiorino(Silvana) and his cousin Ernesto(Josephine).
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Monday, November 27, 2023 from 9-11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough, Pa. Interment will be private.
