Michael J. Walsh

Michael J. Walsh passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, October 23, 2023. He was 74. Born in Dayton, Ohio, son of the late Joseph and Margaret Walsh, he has been a Levittown resident for most of his life. He was employed as VP of Labor Relations for Verizon, retiring after 35 years of service. He was a past Grand Knight and 4th Degree Lifetime Member of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Ancient Order of the Hibernians, Michael Dougherty Division 1, Bristol. Mr. Walsh was also an active member of St. Michael the Archangel Church, where he served as a Eurharistic Minister, and also volunteered at St. Mary's Hospital and St. Vincent DePaul Society. Outside of his philanthropy, Mr. Walsh was always seen throughout his community with his unwavering optimistic personality. He enjoyed antiquing, collecting sports memorabilia and postcards, restoring cars, and was an avid pool player.
Michael Walsh was a devoted and loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandfather. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Lee (Hagerman) Walsh, his children, Sean Walsh and his wife Dana, and Amanda LaRiviere and her husband Mike, and his grandchildren, Leighton, Emerson, Graham, and Hana. He is also survived by his sister, Maureen Popp.
All are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday evening, October 26, 2023 from 7-9:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday morning, October 27, 2023, 10am at St. Michael the Archangel Church, Levittown. There will be no calling hours Friday morning. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic School in Levittown.

Just heard about Mikes passing. I'am shocked. I knew Mike from the 1960's. I met him when he used to come to my pool room. What a great ma. Over the years we would touch base and talk about the old days. Even though we didn't see each other often, i always thought of him as a good friend. I am shocked and saddened on the passing of Mike, I've known Mike for many years on Sharing our love of sports collecting and flea Marketing in Lambertville, Mike was a great Friend, and super family man, his love for his family, his religion will stay with me. I will miss him calling my name when he spotted me at the Golden Nugget flea Market, with that great laugh and Smile. Friends like Mike don't come around everyday. I'm sad I just found out now. He will be missed.
