Melvin F. Slaymaker

Melvin F. Slaymaker passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 at his home. He was 85. Born in Bristol, son of the late Norman and Ruth (nee Hart) Slaymaker, he was a lifelong Bristol Borough resident. Mr. Slaymaker was a graduate of Bristol High School, Class of 1953 and a veteran of the US. Airforce Reserves. He was a longtime employee of Patterson Parchment Paper Co. until their closing and then was employed in the automotive department at Sears and Roebuck. He enjoyed going to the beach at Brigantine and walking the boardwalk in Atlantic City.

Predeceased by his son, David H. Slaymaker, he is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Judith (nee Moore) Slaymaker, 2 sons, Steven Slaymaker and his wife, Barbra and Scott Slaymaker and his wife, Chris, his grandsons, David Slaymaker and Tyler Slaymaker and his twin grand-daughters, Jennifer and Kaitlyn Slaymaker. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Glenn Slaymaker and his wife, Barbara and Norman Slaymaker along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held privately under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
