Melissa Jean Shapcott

Missy Shapcott passed away peacefully on Friday, November 5, 2021 at Chandler Hall Hospice, Newtown, Pa. at the age of 63 years young. Born in Philadelphia, on August 1, 1958, she was daughter of the late Harry and Jean Shapcott. Missy graduated from Pennsbury High School, Class of 1976 and worked at Chic-Fil-A, Neshaminy, as an outside manager. She was an active member of Eddington Presbyterian Church in Eddington, Pa, where she sang in the choir and served on numerous committees. Missy was a dog lover and enjoyed helping take care of family and friends pets. She loved spending time at the Jersey shore with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her very special niece, Jeanie Shapcott, and her very special dog, Abby Jean. She is survived by her sister, Joan Shapcott Harper (Art) and brother, Harry Shapcott (Martha Anne). She loved her nieces and nephews, Jenny Harper Kennedy (Will), Todd Harper (Nadine), Jeffrey Shapcott and Christopher Shapcott and her special great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson, Sadie and Brady Kennedy and Mia Harper.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Service on Friday, November 12, 2021, 7:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. Friends may call Friday evening 5-7:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Jean M. Shapcott Memorial Scholarship, c/o 6927 Radcliffe St., Bristol, Pa 19007.
