Margaret "Peggy" Conry
Peggy Conry passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 78. Born on Long Island, NY, daughter of the late Thomas and Bridget Anne (nee Walsh) Conry, she has been a Bristol Borough resident for the past 22 years. Peggy was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Gwynedd Mercy College and Shippensburg State College. She was an educator and counsellor. As a Sister of Mercy, she taught for many years in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and later at Catapult Learning. Peggy was very active with Sister Mary Scullion in starting Women of Hope, caring for the homeless in the Philadelphia area.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Anne Roche and her husband, John and her brothers, Thomas Conry and his wife, Sharon, and Harry Conry and his wife, Eileen. She will be sadly missed by her nieces and nephews, Christine, Carolyn, Anne, Christopher, Michael, Kevin, Terrence, Timothy, Thomas, William and Michael.
The family would like to thank the staff at St. Mary Medical Center for their excellent and compassionate care of Peggy.
If she couldn't be in Bristol, she loved to be in the West of Ireland.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, April 9, 2022, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, St. Mark Cemetery. Friends may call 9-10:45am at the Church. Peggy’s Funeral Mass will also be Live Streamed below. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Project HOME, 1515 Fairmount Ave., Phila., Pa 19130 or St. Malachy's Church, 1429 N 11th, Phila., Pa 19122. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
