Lovett S. Hulme

Lovett S. Hulme “Sam” passed away on Monday, May 22, 2023 at Oxford Rehabilitation Center in Langhorne, with his family by his side. He was 80. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late George Washington and Lillian Jane Hulme, he was a lifelong resident of Croydon. Mr. Hulme was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was employed for over 30 years in the service department at PECO, where his co-workers nicknamed him ‘Red.’ He was an avid fisherman, enjoyed snow skiing, movies, listening to music, classic cars and spending summer vacations with his grand-daughters.  

He is survived by his children, George V. Hulme and Janell Peterson (Nathan), his grand-daughters, Kimberly Elyea and Samantha Scherfenberg (Kyle) and his 2 nephews, Dennis Adams and Brian Adams, and his lifelong friend Loretta Circerchia. He was also predeceased by his sister, Lillian Adams.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 9:30am to 11:00am followed by a time for sharing memories at 11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, Bristol Cemetery.
