Linda C. McCafferty

Linda C. McCafferty passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at The Hospital of The University of Pennsylvania, with her loving family by her side. She was 72. Born in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Walter and Mae Gruszka, she was raised in the Mayfair section of Philadelphia, and was a Croydon resident for 45 years until recently moving to Barnegat, New Jersey. Prior to her retirement, she was employed as an office manager for Exide Battery in Bristol, Pa. When her children were growing up, Linda was very active at St. Thomas Aquinas School, volunteering as a lunch mother, a gym teacher, and also taught a CCD class. She loved coffee, elephants, shopping and the color yellow but most importantly was the passion she had for her 4 grandchildren and friends. Although suffering from the rare disease, HHT, for many years, she overcame many obstacles and lived her life to the fullest.

She is survived by her husband, Terrence McCafferty, her children, Andrew McCafferty (Melanie), Bridget McCafferty and Jen Bird (Ryan) and her precious grandchildren, Declan, Claire, Nathan, and Norah Lyn. She was also predeceased by her 2 sisters, Mae and Shirley.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing on Monday, November 29, 2021, 10:00am, followed by her Funeral Service at 12 Noon at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to CureHHT.org.
