Kevin Coyle
July 31, 1953 - December 30, 2024
Kevin Coyle, 71, of Bristol Borough, PA passed away at his home on December 30, 2024. Kevin, born in Shamokin PA, was a lifelong Bristol boy. He was a Bristol High School graduate and retired from Amtrak after almost 40 years of service. He had a huge circle of buddies, some of whom have passed, from both Bristol and Amtrak and he loved to share stories about their escapades.
Kevin enjoyed photography as a hobby. He and his cameras were present at many family holiday gatherings, christenings, weddings, anniversaries, graduations, birthdays, vacations, and niece’s and nephew’s sporting events. His seascape photography won awards multiple times in Bucks County photography contests. Kevin was a great fan of LL Bean and Carhart gear, obvious to all who knew him. He was generous almost to a fault and was happy to share his gear or whatever else he had with anyone who needed it.
Storytelling aside, Kevin was a quiet man who shouldered his life challenges with dignity. He was kind, gentle, generous, loyal, funny and honest and always displayed a positive outlook. Despite his occasional bouts of confusion, he had a can-do attitude, or at least a will-try resolve. Simply put, Kevin was a good man.
Kevin is predeceased by his parents Eleanor and Hugh Coyle of Bristol. He was well loved and will be missed by his surviving siblings, Mary Claire Dillon, Loretta (Steve) Schmid, Rita (Jim) Knepley, and Eileen (Ed) Pease, and his nieces and nephews, Matthew, David, Alex, Katie, Mark, Paul, Christina, Jamie, Corey and Dylan, along with 13 great-nieces and nephews.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on January 14, 2025 from 9:30-10:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11am at St. Mark Catholic Church, Bristol, PA. Interment will be held privately.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in memory of Kevin to the Reach Out Foundation of Bucks County, 152 Monroe Avenue, Penndel, PA 19047.

Kevin was a soft spoken gentlemen, I would have breakfast with him on many occasions, (at his favorite restaurant Radcliffe Cafe), as we were in school and graduated together in 1971. He will be missed by many friends from school, that would still get together with him during the 50 or so years since high school. Rest peacefully Kevin, you will surely be missed by all.

So very sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. Spent a lot of time together as kids, playing ball in Tranter’s driveway, swimming in my pool, riding bikes, and just hanging out. We were best friends when kids. Sorry we drifted apart after I moved away. Rest in piece my friend.

I am so deeply sad to hear about Kevin's passing. We have known each other for about 40 years and were friends. He spoke at my wedding and came to visit me several times as I now live in Florida. Years ago I lived in Bucks County and we would hang at my house or Kevin's place. We had a great group of friends and we had many parties, dinners game nights at Kevin's and at my house. I have a few photos framed in my house that he took. He was such a great guy. We would talk on the phone for hours. I often talked to him when he worked for Amtrack and when he retired. We did a few camping trips together and also went to New Orleans with a group together. So many fun memories!! He was literally the type of person that would give you the "shirt off his back"! In the last few years, as life sometimes get busy we would talk about once a year and then talk for a few hours, and get caught up....I will miss the laughter, stories of joy, hope and inspiration....Love ya Kevin, until we meet again I will cherish so many memories. My deepest condolences to his sisters, brother in laws and nieces and nephews....he spoke highly and with such pride about his family and loved them so much

Kevin was a sweet guy. I remember in high school every girl had a crush on him, myself included. I didn't know of anyone who had a bad word about Kevin.
RIP Kevin. You will be missed.
