Parting Words for a Precious Life
Karen Franzson
A Life Well Lived For Her God and Savior
Karen Franzson was promoted to Glory on December 2, 2022. Karen is survived by her Sister Claudine Franzson Taylor. Karen was Claudine's precious Sister and best Friend throughout all their lives. Life on this earth will forever be empty without Karen. Being with Karen, for Claudine, was being Home.
Also surviving Karen are her dedicated Caregivers and always like Family and friends, Lisa Anelauskas, Kathy Delahaunty and Carolyn Spooner all of Bucks County. No words will ever express enough the loving and faithful care these women shared with and for Karen. Until her last earthly breath they were by her side in the hospital and with Claudine.
Karen is also survived by her brother David Franzson (Ruth) living in North Carolina, and her Brother in-law, Claudine's husband, John Franzson Taylor of the Walton-on-Thames United Kingdom.
Karen worked for over twenty years for Philadelphia National Bank, when it was such, in the Book Keeping Department. Never missed a day of work. She also served as a Sunday School Teacher for Toddlers for twenty years at the Calvary Baptist Church in Bristol, Pennsylvania where she was a member from teen years until she became disabled with her health. In both these capacities she was faithful and kind in her employment setting and desperately loved the little children she lovingly cared for in the church.
Karen was born in Huntington New York and although she did not grow up there but always loved revisiting her home town where her Nana, Uncle John and Aunt Astrid and Uncle Van lived. They shared in wonderful family relationships and many summers and holidays. She spent most of her formative years in the Levittown area.
Karen was predeceased by her Mother, Peggy Franzson, Father Everett W. Franzson, Nana, Margaret Paff, Uncle John Paff, Aunt and Uncle Astrid and Ray Van Hoy.
Karen lived in the same apartment development for 43 years..same apartment and it was home for her in most of her adult years. It became home for her and for her sister Claudine when she would visit three times a year or more from United Kingdom where she lives. Claudine and Karen were bonded in this life as sisters. Loyal, loving and caring for one another every single day whether in person or by phone numerous times every day.
In Karen's later years her health failed her often keeping her from being able to be as independent as she would have chosen. But she adapted and accepted her lack of independence and was ever thankful for all the support she received form her Caregivers and Sister.
Karen's Faith meant everything to her. gave her the peace and personal inner joy that nothing else could. She loved her God and Savior Jesus Christ. Because of being more confined to home the wonderful church programs on television meant everything to her. Billy Graham Classics, The Gaithers on every afternoon, Hour of Power and every Sunday evening Rejoice in the Lord. We are ever thankful for these programs. And of course the wonderful programs from the past that would have been in Karen's generation... Leave it to Beaver, Father Knows Best, Little House on the Prairie and The Waltons.. she could tell you ever storyline and the Caregivers watched all of these programs with her.
Loving thankfulness is deeply expressed to every Nurse and Aide on the second floor Cardiology of St. Mary's Hospital, who faithfully cared for Karen and extended kindness and gentleness every minute. No words can describe how brilliant they all were...a lasting memory for us.
Karen's life was caringly and loving lived even in midst of many painful circumstances she had to live through...she trusted her God to get her through. She had many favorite hymns but one she loved from a young age was, Children of the Heavenly Father. We close this Remembrance of precious Karen with the Lyrics:
A Swedish Translation Ernest W. Olson author Carolina Sandell
Children of the Heavenly Father
safely in His bosom gather,
nestling bird nor star in heaven
such a refuge e'er was given.
God is own doth tend and nourish,
in His holy courts they flourish.
From all evil things He spares then,
in His mighty arms He bares them.
Neither life nor death shall ever
from the Lord his children sever;
unto them His Grace He showeth,
And their sorrows all He knoweth.
Thou He giveth or He taketh,
God His children ne'er foresaketh.
His the loving purpose solely
to preserve them pure and Holy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service on Friday, December 9, 2022, 12 Noon at Newtown Cemetery, Newtown, Pa. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
