My sincere condolences to the family. I have known Joe for quite some time since I started running at the park. I would look forward to seeing Joe in the morning and when we didn't get a chance to talk
he would send me a beep from his car or wave good morning as I was going around the path. I recall for a while Joe would pick up his neighbor who wasn't doing too well so he could sit in the park. Joe was such a good person everyone at the park would agree. He will be missed by all.
He loved the park and no matter what kind of weather he would be there. When you didn't see Joe's car in his usual spot you knew something was wrong.
Although I saw him briefly around Christmas time, I heard he still wasn't doing well and I'm sorry I didn't have the chance to say goodbye.
I hope he is in a better place and I know his spirit will live on in the park.
