Jose Luis Medina, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024, surrounded by his loving family at Oxford Rehabilitation Center, Langhorne. He was 82 years old. Born in Utuado, Puerto Rico, to the late Jose Medina and Josephina  Rivera, Jose moved to Bristol over 50 years ago and built a life centered around hard work, dedication, and deep love for his family.

A quiet man of few words but a heart that spoke volumes, Jose spent his career as an Arborist with Penn Shearer Tree Company, where his meticulous care and respect for nature was reflected in everything he did. Jose had a green thumb and found joy in tending his garden, watching life flourish under his hands. He had a special fondness for animals and was a gentle soul to all creatures, great and small. But above all, he cherished the moments spent with his family—whether it was sharing stories, laughing together, or simply being present. His greatest pride and joy were his daughter and grandchildren, whom he loved unconditionally and supported wholeheartedly.

Jose was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Gwendolyn Ann (Grange) Medina. He is survived by his devoted daughter, Brianna Medina-Boyd, and her husband, Fletcher; his treasured grandchildren, Jonathan, Fletcher Javier, and Gwendolyn. He also leaves behind his brothers, Antonio Medina (Sharon) and Angel “Cuqui” Medina (Elaine); his sisters, Maria Cruz (Ricardo), Obdulia Medina, and Yunet Medina (Felipe). In addition, he is survived by his late wife’s siblings, Brenda Henry (Brian) and Conley Grange (Gloria), along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, and friends who will forever remember his gentle spirit, generosity, and love. He also leaves behind his long-time life partner, Consuella Sepulveda, who stood by his side and shared many years with him until the onset of his illness.

Jose’s love and care for his family and those around him will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege to know him. His quiet strength and boundless kindness are his lasting gifts to all who mourn his passing.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Jose’s life and legacy at his Funeral Service on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment will follow at Bristol Cemetery. His Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.
