John William Crines

John William Crines, a beloved husband, son, brother, and uncle, passed away unexpectedly on March 22, 2023, at the age of 39. Born on August 8, 1983, in Levittown, Pennsylvania, he was the cherished son of John Christopher Crines and Jacklyn Holden.
John's life was marked by his strong core values, which served as the foundation of his character and guided him throughout his journey. He was known for his resilience, determination, and unwavering sense of duty, both in his military and civilian roles.
A proud graduate of Harry S. Truman High School, John went on to further his education at Grand Canyon University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Nursing Leadership. His passion for helping others led him to enlist in the U.S. Navy in 2006, serving as a Corpsman during the Iraqi War. He was stationed with the Marine Corps on Camp Pendleton, and served in Iraq providing emergency medical treatment on the frontlines.
In 2010, John completed his service but dedication to his profession continued when he joined Scripps Health in San Diego, California. He began his career there as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in the Neurology department and eventually rose to the position of Acting Director of Clinical Operations. John's hard work, professionalism, and compassion touched the lives of many patients and colleagues.
In his personal life, John met his future husband, Victor, while both were serving in the military. They began dating in May 2009 and were married in January 2014. Together they shared their home with their two beloved boxers, Edison and Indie. Known for his loyalty and devotion to friends and family, John was always the life of the party. His love for his husband, family, and friends provided a source of strength and comfort in difficult times.
Throughout his life, John had a passion for learning and discovering new experiences. In 2016, he joined the Hash House Harriers while supporting his husband in Okinawa, Japan. In John's free-time he enjoyed playing Dungeons and Dragons, playing video games, singing karaoke, and gardening.
John is survived by his loving husband; his mother, Jacklyn Holden Crines Dambach; stepfather, Mitch Dambach; mother-in-law, Nora Erickson; father-in-law, Victor Perez Senior; sisters, Jennifer Crines and Ellen Crines; sisters-in-laws, Victoria Gomez and Devin Riley; brothers-in-laws, Gerardo Gomez dad and John Riley; nieces, Mikayla, Mya, Lilyonna, Gisel, Talayha, and Pia; and nephews, Jules, Jay, and Kingston.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Memorial Mass on Thursday, April 27, 2023, 11:00am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Friends may call 8:30-10:30am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
