John W. Sabatini
June 20, 1934 - February 6, 2025
John W. Sabatini of Levittown passed away peacefully on February 6, 2025, at Jefferson Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was 90 years old. John is now at peace with the love of his life, Sally Ann.
Born and raised in Bristol Borough, Pa., John had an unwavering love for his hometown. Growing up he could often be found exploring Bristol with his brothers and friends. Some of his favorite past times as a child were swimming under the old Forge Bridge, serving as an Alter Boy at St. Ann’s Church, helping in his parent’s garden, and spending time with his aunts and uncles whom all lived nearby.
On January 20, 1953, John enlisted in the United States Army where he proudly served for three years. During that time he fought in the Korean War, a sentiment his family was extremely proud of. He was honorably discharged on January 20, 1956. John also spent his life working as a Cement Mason with Local 592 where he was affectionally called Johnny Concrete due to his exceptional skills.
In September 1957, John met his soulmate, Sally Ann (nee Keiper). They were married four months later on January 20, 1958. In 1960 they moved to Levittown where they continued to build a beautiful life. John always loved to reminisce about the many adventures he shared with Sally and their children. Be it on dirt bikes or jet skis at Penn Warner Lake, or yearly family vacations to Barnegat Light and Hatteras Village, John always made sure his family was having fun and creating memories together. John was a devoted fan of Penn State Football, attending many games or tuning in every Saturday to watch his beloved Nittany Lions. John also enjoyed many years of medal detecting and was always quick to share a story about all of his unique finds. John was a man of incredible wisdom and could answer nearly any question about most topics.
Anyone who had the honor of knowing John would tell you he had the biggest heart. He never hesitated to put others before himself, would do anything anyone asked of him, and never asked or expected anything in return. He had an immeasurable love for animals and was resolved in his faith, attending daily mass at St. Mark Church. However, John’s greatest joy was his family. He beamed with pride anytime he spoke of his children, grandchildren, and especially his great-grandchildren. John never hesitated to tell his family how much he loved them and how proud he was of each and every one of them.
John was preceded in death by his wife, Sally Ann, his parents Catherine and Emidio Sabatini, his brothers Ralph and Ronald Sabatini, and his granddaughter Jennifer P. Nicely. John is survived by his loving children, Jonann Sabatini, and Daniela (Sabatini) and Walter Nicely; as well as his brother Pasquale Sabatini and his wife Anne (Chippie). He is also survived by his grandchildren, Carina Strong, Tiffany and Carlos Pereira, Kevin McCarthy, and Arielle McCarthy; and his great-grandchildren, Angelo and Dominic Pereira; and Gianna and Landon Ohler. John will also be greatly missed by his nieces and nephews as well as many close relatives and dear friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to call on Thursday, February 13, 2025, from 9:00-10:45am at St. Mark Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa. His Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00am followed by Interment at St. Mark Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John’s name to St. Mark Parish, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, Pa 19007.
