John W. Korabik
October 9, 1946 - December 6, 2024
John W. Korabik passed away surrounded by his loving family on Friday, December 6, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne. He was 78 years old. Born in Philadelphia, son of the late Joseph and Theresa Korabik, he was a Bucks County resident for most of his life prior to moving to Bristol Borough in 2011. John was a United States Army Veteran, serving in the Vietnam War, where he rose to rank of Sergeant and received the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with Bronze Service Star, Bronze Star, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He also received awards from the Chapel of Four Chaplains. John was a member of the Chester W. Terchon VFW Post #5542, where he served as past Commander, and the Bristol Elks Lodge #970. John loved to tinker and could build or fix anything, but most especially, he cherished time spent with his family.
Predeceased by his first wife, Elaine, he is survived by his wife, Lisa (nee Haniman) Korabik; his stepchildren, Parker Fletcher (Meaghan), Angelica Hill, and Noah Charest; and his step-grandchildren, Merik, Carter, Emitt, Thea, and Ella. He is also survived by one brother, Michael Korabik (Carol) and one sister, Helen Thompson, along with several nieces and nephews. He was also predeceased by one brother, Joseph Korabik, and one sister, Kathleen "Dolly" Dowd.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Saturday, December 14, 2024 from 1-3:00pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment will be held privately.
