John Messinger

May 11, 1962 - June 17, 2024

It comes with heavy hearts to announce the sudden passing of our brother, John Messinger at the age of 62.  Born in Abington, Pennsylvania, he resided in Levittown for most of his life, and was a Bristol resident for the past 8 years.  John was an old soul, who loved the Grateful Dead and was a diehard Eagles fan - win or lose.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Elizabeth Messinger, his brothers, Charles "Opie" Messinger and William "Billy" Messinger, and his faithful dog, Rocky.  He is survived by his brother, Frank Messinger, and his sisters, Linda D'Emidio (Joseph) and Alicia Messinger.  As John did not have any children of his own, he loved and adored all of his nieces and nephews and his 14 great-nieces and nephews.

John will be especially missed by his sisters, Linda and Alicia, and his niece, Angela, who were his primary caregivers, and will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.

Funeral Services will be held privately under the direction of the Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.

I was saddened to hear of John’s passing. Thinking of all the memories we had growing up in Violetwood, in high school and working together in Bristol. My sympathy to Frank, Linda & Alicia. RIP John “JB” Messinger. Reminiscing with one of my favorite Dead songs - Box of Rain.
