John was a fantastic neighbor always friendly, and willing to lend a hand. I always enjoyed talking with him about our Greyhounds, and other neighborhood events.

My condolences to all of John's family and friends. Know that John is in no more pain, and he is resting in the arms of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. John and I became good friends when we attended the Christ Renews His Parish retreat at St. John the Evangelist in 2015. After this, we had many good times together talking about the Christian concerts we attended, hanging out at the St. John's Christmas Bazaar, and volunteering at the Shared Meals. John was one of the finest human beings I have ever known. May his soul rest in peace. Amen.

He truly lived his faith. He was always giving. I recall when the youth minister asked him to be Santa one year at Lunch with Santa, he called me and told me and said he was going to be so hot in the Santa suit. "But since she asked, I will do it." And he was so hot!! He never said no, always serving others. Cooking in the kitchen at Shared Meal will never be the same, but we will take a lesson from him and " keep the faith." Hugs to all of you as you mourn one so dear.
