John Anthony Besack

John Anthony Besack, 81, of Bristol, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022. He was born in Throop, PA in 1940 and later moved to Bristol, PA where he graduated from Delhaas High School. He met and married the love of his life, Rosemary Pollack, enjoying a 58 year-long marriage.

John is survived by his wife, Rose, their three children, John J. (Christine), Karen, and Dawn and his grandchildren, Sarah (Andrew) and Hannah. He is also survived by his sisters-in-law, Theresa Keuper and Barbara McLaren, along with his brother-in-law, Anthony Ragucci in addition to many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

John was preceded in death by his parents, George and Regina Besack, his brother, George A. Besack (Colliene), his sister Regina Ragucci, and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Pollack, Thomas Keuper, and Charles McLaren.

John was proud of his military service in the Navy where he learned his skills as an electrician. He also was proud of his long career with PECO, where he was part of their softball and hockey teams. Also, while with PECO he regularly donated platelets/blood through their drives. After retiring, he went on to work for a short time at a golf course, golf being one of his passions. He enjoyed yearly golf trips to Myrtle Beach with his friends and trips to AC. John enjoyed hunting and spending quiet times at the family cabin.

John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. His granddaughters were the light of his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Burial Service, with military honors, on Monday, June 27, 2022, 11:00am at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, Pa. Please arrive at cemetery by 10:45am.
