James T. Nelson
James T. Nelson passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. He was 70. Born in Bristol Borough, son of the late Carl W. Nelson, Jr. and Elizabeth Nelson, he was raised in Bristol Borough and has been a resident of Hulmeville, Pa since 1972. Jim was a graduate of Bishop Egan High School, Class of 1969 and worked construction for Carl W. Nelson Builder, taught carpentry at the Youth Development Center, a Juvenile Detention Center, in Bensalem, Pa and retired in 2009 as a model maker at Product Dynamics in Levittown, Pa. Family meant everything to him and he meant everything to us. He was a perpetual caregiver, patriarch and devoted husband of 49 years. Jim made an impact on everyone he met, his circle of friends was immense and he was loved and respected in his riding circle, spanning over 50 years. There will never be another like him. The world will not be the same without him. He was an enthusiastic motorcycle rider. Jim enjoyed owning and riding sport bikes. He enjoyed traveling with his wife on touring motorcycles. They traveled to Carlsbad Caverns, NH, Niagara Falls, NY, Nova Scotia, Canada, Pikes Peak, CO and the Grand Canyon, AZ, where they continued onto California before traveling home. They had many adventures on their trips.
He is survived by his loving wife, Nancy (nee Ferguson) Nelson, his children, James T. Nelson, Jr. and his wife, Jodi, and Melissa M. Ward and her husband, Jason and his cherished grandson, Nicholas J. Ward. He is also survived by his siblings, Carl W. Nelson, III (Anne), the late John Nelson (Elaine), Judith Nelson Lake (James), Wayne Nelson (Jane), and Mary Nelson Kuznicki (Raymond), his sister-in-law, Peggy Ferguson Hughes (Michael) along with several nieces and nephews.
