James C. Nelson, Jr.
September 22, 1956 - December 17, 2024
James C. Nelson, Jr. passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. He was 68 years old. Born in Bristol, son of the late James C., Sr. and Maria T. (nee Dessify) Nelson, he was a lifelong Bristol resident. Jim was employed for 50 years at Atlantic Concrete Products holding many positions. He was a member of the Third District Fire Company Station 14 and the Bristol Moose Lodge No. 1169, where he rose to the rank of Pilgrim. He was an avid Eagles and Phillies fan, enjoyed tending to his lawn, playing games on his iPad, and playing cards. Above all else, Jim was a loving and caring man who cherished being surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lori (nee Geisler) Nelson. He will also be sadly missed by his children, James C. Nelson, III and his wife, Michele, Janice Lovett and her husband, Brian, and Stacy Nelson, and his grandchildren, Mackenzie, Devon, Jake, LJ, and Bryce. He is also survived by one sister, Irene Kerner, one brother, Rick Nelson, his precious puppy, Shelby, along with many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Viewing on Saturday, December 28, 2024 from 11am until 2pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: Penn Medicine Development & Alumni Relations ICU Cardiac Unit, 3535 Market Street, Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
