James A. Lerie

James A. Lerie, 74, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. Son of his beloved late mother, Mary Jane Lerie, he was a long time Levittown resident. After many years of being employed at U.S. Steel, James enjoyed tinkering in his garage and taking care of his garden. He is survived by his three children, Brian Lerie (Elizabeth), Mary Lerie, and Kara Lerie, and his grandchildren, Addie, Savanna, and Amelia. He is also survived by his former wife, Karla Lerie, and his sisters, Paulette and Linda.

Jim was such a nice guy! I remember you couldn’t walk by his chair and not say hi. I was very shy, so it was quite awkward for me! He was also nice enough to lend us his shed for shed parties, aka game nights! I will forever miss hearing stories about him from Mary! I hope that he is at peace and pain free.

Jim was always amazing. Throughout high school Mary's home was my second home. Jim always had a story to tell and was the first person ever to teach me how to mix different types of kool aid together while making it. You will be so missed by your loved ones.
