Helen S. Lee: A Life Lived Boldly and with Love
On Friday, January 31, 2025, Helen S. Lee passed away peacefully in her home. The world lost an incredible woman, but Helen's fiery spirit will never be forgotten. At 70 years young, she lived life on her own terms—boldly, passionately, and with a heart full of love.
Born to the late William and Barbara Schneller, Helen spent most of her life in Feasterville-Trevose, touching countless lives along the way. As a dedicated nurse and longtime Director of Nursing, she devoted herself to caring for others, embodying strength, leadership, and compassion in everything she did. Her energy was unmatched—whether she was reminiscing about driving her parents’ classic Cadillac, cruising in her convertible Mustang, or blasting rock music with the roof down. She had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, who were always by her side.
Helen was a force of nature, fiercely loving and courageously outspoken. Predeceased by her beloved husband, John Lee, she leaves behind a legacy of love in her children, Joe Gilleo (Kelly Keene Gilleo), Shannon Gilleo, Lisa Gilleo (the late Vincent Miles), Shara Copson, and James Copson (Amanda Scott). Helen was also a devoted and loving 'Grammy' to Miranda Gilleo (whom she raised as one of her own), as well as many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her cherished siblings, Billie Gene Schad (Stephen Schad), and Bob Schneller (Anne Schneller), along with her best friend, Beth.
Arrangements for Helen’s afterlife accommodations will be handled privately under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough. In accordance with her wishes, her family will celebrate Helen with an "End of Life Celebration" in her honor. Though she may be gone, her fierce spirit, generous heart, and unforgettable presence will live on in all who knew and loved her.
