Helen Kathryn Pizzullo

September 7, 1927 — February 21, 2025

Helen Kathryn Pizzullo passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday, February 21, 2025. Helen’s bright laugh and warm hugs touched the hearts of many throughout her 97 years. Born in Bristol, PA, daughter of the late Carl and Edith (nee Wallace) Lindberg, she grew deep roots and raised her children in Bristol before building a home with her husband Chet in Croydon. Helen was a hard worker from a young age when she started work at the soap factory in Bristol. Her love of antiques and all things ornate and beautiful meant there was never a yard sale she could resist. Helen and Chet were the Owner Operators of an antique shop before they opened the Radcliffe Deli in Bristol Borough. Even in her ‘retirement’, Helen continued to work in to her late 80s and was always there to give you a big hug when you saw her around Bristol. Helen loved to cook and bake and her signature Pizzelles, Wandies, Pepperoni Bread, Pizza, and big holiday meals were a treasure.

Helen was predeceased by her beloved husband and Jitterbug partner of 38 years, Chester James Pizzullo, a love she recognized every day of her life. Her family was truly Helen’s most proud achievement. She is survived by her son Chester Vincent Pizzullo, Sr. (JoAnne), and her daughter Karen Pizzullo. Helen was “Granny” to her four grandchildren Chester James Pizzullo, Jr. (Cathy), Michelle McIlvaine (Rob), Zachary Pizzullo (Stacey), and Nicole Quinlan (John). She was Sister of the late Freddie and Hazel Lindberg and Gussie Pizzullo. She beamed with pride and joy over her Great-Grandchildren Allison, Andrew, Steven, Cameron, Cody, Christopher, Rebecca, and Samantha and 7 Great-Great-Grandchildren, and loved her many nieces and nephews. Whether you called her ‘Mom’, ‘Granny’,  or ‘Aunt Helen’, she loved to sing “I Love You, A Bushel and A Peck” to the babies of the family and followed up with kisses on their necks. Helen will be deeply missed by the family she leaves behind, but the giant hugs from the tiny woman will be with those she loved forever.
