Harry J. Cohn

Harry J. Cohn, “Big Har” passed away on the morning of Thursday, July 1, 2021 at St. Mary Medical Center, Langhorne, PA at the age of 79. Surrounded by his family, he succumbed to heart issues that he valiantly battled during the final years of life. Born in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late Harry and Ursula (nee Compiano) Cohn, he was a Bristol Borough resident for 31 years prior to moving to Yardley 15 years ago.  Mr. Cohn was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Vietnam War who returned home and gained employment at Purex/Dial Soap in Bristol and retired as a security officer for Waste Management. Harry was a blue-collar guy, a family first man and an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He enjoyed a good meal, fishing, crabbing, playing the lottery and walking flea markets and yard sales searching for the rare collectible. He was a movie buff who preferred classic movies, gangster movies and had an affinity for “war pictures”.  Never one to shy away from a spirited discussion, he cherished his time talking sports, stocks and politics with anyone who would engage. A big man with a big heart who will be  missed by all that knew him.

Loving husband of the late Kathleen M. Cohn, he is survived by his children, Kathleen M. Kennedy and Jeffrey Cohn and his wife, Nicole, his grandchildren, William G. Kennedy III, Brian J. Kennedy, Kara L. Kennedy, Sean D. Gibson and Cameron M. Cohn and his great-grandchildren, Delilah M., Elizabeth R., Joseph C., Piper M. Kennedy, and William G. Kennedy IV.

Donations on his behalf can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at support.woundedwarriorproject.org

Funeral Services will be held privately under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
