George A. Besack
The Besack Family lost their favorite man on Thursday, October 21, 2021. George Besack, age 84, passed away peacefully with his family by his side. George is preceded in death by the love of his life of 63 years, his wife Colliene, his mother, father, and his sister.
George was a resident of Bristol where he built his family’s loving home. George is survived by his six children for whom he lived: Debra, George (Fran), John (Sharon), Michael (Doreen), David and Angel.
He cherished his 11 grandchildren, Rick (Lisa), Ryan (Robyn), Christie (Obie), Jack, Julie, Ashlee (Mark), Greg (Brittany), Katie (Chuck), Becky (Adam), Brandon and Madison. He was also the loving great-grandfather of Morgan, Bailey, Cole, Slade, Ella, Finn, Lexie, Joseph, J-Ry. Jocelyn, Avery, Anthony, Riley and Gabe. George is also survived by his brother John (Rose), brother-in-law Jim (Diana), Tony Ragucci and many nieces and nephews.
George is described by many as the perfect gentleman who was a genuine, selfless, “always willing to help anyone” type of man. George served in the United States Airforce. He was a dedicated Catholic of St. Mark’s Parish where he could be found with his wife every week. George was a volunteer firefighter at Newportville Fire Company where he also had the honor of serving as Chief. George, who was known for his love of his family and sweet demeanor, was a very quiet man who could fix just about anything. George was also a lifetime member of Anchor Yacht Club where he could always be found on his boat, The Bizzy B’s, with his wife and family enjoying their love of water and the company of the many friends they had there.
George was happiest when he was holding his wife’s hand making memories at their home on the Chesapeake Bay surrounded by his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was the kindest, selfless, most genuine man on Earth and to his family, simply their Hero. George’s greatest accomplishment in his eyes was the loving family he and his wife Colliene created. He made an impact on everyone he met, and his memory will live on in each one of his proud children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
