Gabriella Filomena Devine
Gabriella Filomena Devine, 16, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, surrounded by her adoring family after a courageous battle with Leukemia.
She is survived by her loving parents Tony and Ericka (Cruz), her brother, Devon and sister, Madelyne.
Predeceased in death by her maternal grandmother and grandfather, Carmen and Frank Cruz and paternal grandfather, Michael Devine, she is survived by her paternal grandmother, Diane (Indelicato).
Gabriella is also survived by her loving aunts and uncles: Lillian (Andy), Rick, Tuty, Michael, Jerry (Laura), Marisol, and cousins, Kristina, Sierra, Dante, D’Anna, Jared and Vanessa Jaidyn, Jordyn, Addie & Raegyn. She will especially miss her sleepovers with her cousins.
Gabbie was a lover and connoisseur of ramen who enjoyed thrift store shopping, playing soccer, riding her bike around town and just hanging out with her friends, all of whom she loved, but Anthony and Lola were extra special and Rachel whose visits at CHOP would brighten her days. She loved art and to paint, loved music, collecting vinyl records and watching reality tv with her family. Her family will miss spending time together busting on each other and listening to Gabbie’s 101 different laughs. She often laughed until she peed or cried. In her short life she found true friendships, true love and knew who she was.
A special thanks to the CHOP Onco Nurses, Doctors & staff on 3 South who became our family as Gabbie so bravely battled cancer. Many of you will always hold a special place in our hearts.
