Elizabeth Dinan Lutz

January 27, 1927 — June 10, 2024

Elizabeth Dinan Lutz passed away peacefully at her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family on Monday, June 10, 2024.  She was 97.  Born on January 27, 1927 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, daughter of the late Raymond and Mary Strong Dinan, she was raised in the Saint William Parish in Lawndale, Philadelphia.  There, while in the fifth grade, she met and fell in love with her husband, August J. Lutz.

Elizabeth was a graduate of Little Flower High School.  Elizabeth’s older sister, Katherine, had waited to begin her college years until Elizabeth had finished high school, and the two went on to attend Chestnut Hill College together.  During the summers, they both were employed at the Hospitality House at the Jersey Shore, saving for their college tuition.  They both graduated college, Elizabeth earning her degree in Sociology.  She was employed for many years at the Customs House in Philadelphia.  Elizabeth, along with her husband, August, were original homeowners in the Oaktree Section of Levittown and were founding members of St. Michael the Archangel Church.  She enjoyed classical music and will be remembered as a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.

Predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, August J. Lutz, she is survived by her children, Maureen Lorino (Clinton), Christopher Lutz (Racenne), Katherine Thomas, Thomas Lutz, Mary Boardman, Colleen Freedman, and Michael Lutz, her grandchildren, Joshua Lutz, Sean Lutz, Jessica Stravola, Danielle Lutz, Faith Ann Feiter, Michelle Boardman, Alex Boardman, Frank Uriarte, August John Lutz II, Elizabeth Lutz Zembower, Justin McClasky, Benjamin Thomas, Aubrey McGlinchey, Raymond Lorino, Isabela Lorino, Auguste Lorino, Natasha Trendley, Nathan Thrower, and Allison Sedgwick, as well as 25 great-grandchildren.   She was also predeceased by her brother, Raymond Dinan, her sister, Katherine Dinan Waldron, and her grandson, Hendrix Freedman.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Friday, June 14, 2024, 12 noon at Queen of the Universe Church, Levittown.  Interment, Our Lady of Grace Cemetery.  Friends may call Thursday evening, 6-8:00pm and Friday morning, 10-11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
