Edwin L. Berner
On Thursday, November 10, 2022, Edwin (Ed) L. Berner, loving husband, father, brother, uncle and godfather passed away at the age of 80.
Ed was born on May 27, 1942 in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Edwin and Marie Berner. Ed enjoyed a great childhood growing up in Fort Dodge playing baseball all through his school years.
Ed is predeceased by his parents Edwin and Marie and brother John and is survived by Frances Berner (nee Lautz), his wife of 57 years and his sons Eddie and Martin of Voorhees, NJ and his sister Ann Sexton of Stanford, CT.
Ed worked 37 years at and retired from Rohm & Haas in Bristol, PA as an analytical scientist. Living in southern NJ for over 40 years, Ed was a huge part of the Burlington Twp street hockey and baseball leagues and was a great coach to all that had the opportunity to play on his teams.
Ed was a great husband, awesome father and brother and was loved by all, especially his nieces, nephews, extended family and friends throughout his great life. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the opportunity to know him.
Funeral services will be held at St. Mark’s Church, 1025 Radcliffe Street, Bristol, PA 19007 on Saturday, November 19 from 9:30AM to 11:00AM followed by Mass. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org would be very appreciated by his family. Arrangements are under the direction of Wade Funeral Home, Bristol Borough.
