Dolores Joy Muffett passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday October 4, 2023, 3 days prior to her 77th birthday, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia, she was a lifelong Levittown resident. Dolores liked going to the casinos and in her earlier years she enjoyed bingo, bowling and doing ceramics, but most especially cherished traveling with her family, their Summer trips to Myrtle Beach, and her many adventures with her husband John. She loved watching science fiction, horror films and any crime drama.
Daughter of the late Leatrice Joy Hudon Cortino, Wife of the late John Muffett and Mother of the late Jason and John D. Muffett, she is survived by her 4 daughters, Anna Marie Muffett (Megan), Stephanie Barton (Dave), Dolores Walsh (Eddie) and Kathleen Delahanty (Brian), her 14 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren with 1 on the way, along with her brother, Joseph Cortino and many nieces and nephews. Dolores also leaves behind her 2 loving companions, her dog Mickey and her cat Minnie. She was also predeceased by her brothers, Keith, Ronnie, Craig, Anthony (Guy), and Aram.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Memorial Service on Thursday, October 12, 2023, 11:00am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment, Bristol Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday morning 9:00am until time of Service, at the Funeral Home.
