Diane Kelly

July 20, 1962 - February 8, 2023

Diane Kelly passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at Doylestown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was 60. Born and raised in Philadelphia, daughter of the late Earl, Sr. and Carol (nee Hutcheson) Grow, she has been a Churchville resident for the past 26 years.

“The most truly generous persons are those who give silently without hope of praise or reward” - Carol Ryrie Brink. Diane found her purpose in life by giving and always providing a lending hand. She incessantly put her family and friends first, while only hoping for a smile in return. Her meals and gatherings were unforgettable- no one left the Kelly household or parties on an empty stomach.  A glass of White Zinfandel, with ice, combined with a few belly laughs were her favorite “life recipe”. She made every Christmas epic. Planning for Christmas usually started on December 26th……of the prior year, with spoiling her kids and grandkids leading as her top priority. She thoroughly enjoyed an Ocean breeze and sand between her toes. Long walks on the beach with family or friends present, on a beautiful summer night, was amongst her favorite things to do. A humble person by nature, she enjoyed the non-materialistic things, most in life. Establishing great memories with family and friends was a necessity. Even through her courageous battle of 7 years, she made countless memories. She lived, and lived well, showing nothing but resolve throughout those years. She inspired so many, and always appreciated the endless support from family and friends.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Charles Kelly, her children, Chalie Kelly and his wife, Sue, Brian Kelly and his wife, Caroline, and Shannon Kelly, and her 4 grandchildren, Cameron, Payton, Sloan and McKenzie.  She is also survived by 1 sister, Elaine Gerhardt and her husband, Gordon, and 2 brothers, Earl Grow and his wife, Dorothy, and Kenny Grow and his wife, MaryAnn, along with many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration on Friday, February 17, 2023 from 11:00am until 1:00pm at which time there will be a prayer service and a time for sharing memories at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough, Pa.  In lieu of flowers, donations in Diane's name can be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society at givenow.lls.org

Lisa Karapcik shared a photo and condolence

Diane always had a zest for life and family gatherings. I'll never forget the time we saw the last baseball game at Vet's stadium with the Kelly family.. We ended up losing Shannon in the crowd after the fireworks and split up to try to find her. Diane was confident and in charge the whole time. Always grace under pressure. Everyone who knew Diane will miss her deeply.

Colleen and Phil Mangogna shared a condolence

We had the opportunity to met Diane just a few years ago as we shared a mutual friend, the time spent together was always a joy. Diane was indeed a very special lady and so proud of her loving family. We send our deepest sympathy to the entire family.

In memory of Diane, a donation has been made to the Lymphoma Association.
