It comes with great sadness to announce the recent passing of Denise Marie Doerr (nee Singer) at the age of 70. Denise passed away on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at St. Mary Medical Center in Langhorne. She went peacefully, surrounded by friends and loved ones. Denise was born in Bristol, PA on July 4, 1953 to Joseph E. Singer and Nora M. Singer (nee McGee). She grew up in the North Park section of Levittown, attending St Joseph the Worker Parish and Elementary School and was a member of the Bracken Cavaliers. She went on to graduate from Bishop Conwell High School and Bucks County Technical High School as a beautician. Denise worked at local salons like Joseph’s and Ida’s before she discovered her true calling as the mother of her four boys and the caretaker for droves of nieces, nephews, and neighborhood kids who she looked after day and night her whole life. She was the one you could always count on to be there. She was the first person to call when you needed somebody and she would somehow always be there.
Denise was born on Independence Day. Every 4th of July we celebrated her birthday while the whole country celebrated. Her birthday always comes with barbecues cooking from coast to coast and fireworks lighting up the night sky just for her. She enjoyed nature and could often be found outside gardening and swimming or just basking in the sun doing a crossword puzzle or reading. Not a summer went by that she didn’t frequent the Jersey Shore for day trips and family vacations. She loved to travel and spend time with her family and friends and especially hanging out with her three grandsons. It couldn’t go without saying that Denise was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. We will cherish the memories and the love she gave us forever in our hearts.
Denise was predeceased by her loving husband, Robert FX Doerr, her parents, and her brother, Joseph Singer. She is survived by her children, Sean Fallon, Kevin Fallon (Megan), Michael Fallon (Stephanie), and Daniel Fallon, her brother, John Singer (Scott), her sister, Janice Pirri (Chris), her grandsons, Thomas, Joseph, and Cameron, her loving nephews, Thomas and Nicholas, and her feline daughter, Dutchess.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 18, 2024, 10am at St. Mark Church, Bristol Borough. Interment, private. Friends may call Friday evening, 6-8:00pm and Saturday morning, 9-9:45am at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
