Cindy L. Darden

Cindy L. Darden (nee Hughes) passed away at home surrounded by her loving family after a long battle with cancer on May 2, 2024. She was the beloved wife of Michael J. Darden, loving mom of Michael and Julie Darden, and dear sister of Dottie Koon and Sue Hughes.  Cindy is preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Boyle, father, Harold Hughes, and brother, Larry Hughes.

She was a caregiver to many family members throughout her life. Cindy worked in various roles during her life, most recently as a receptionist for GI Specialist. She also served as a Middletown Crossing Guard and also an employee at Hechinger’s among other places. Cindy was very active in the PTO, Girl Scouts and various volunteer events. She was also an awesome party planner for her kids birthdays and holiday events, with her home being known as the “4th of July house”. Her joy in life was spending time with her family. She loved making memories traveling as a family to many places, such as Disney, St. Martin, Outerbanks, Niagara Falls, Paris, Vegas, Grand Canyon, Punta Cana and countless day trips. Cindy will be dearly missed by her family and many friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather to remember Cindy on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, from 1-3pm at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough. Interment will be held in Newtown Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Cindy’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at stjude.org , would be appreciated by her family.
