Charles R. McClure died peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, at home; he was 86. Born in Wharton, West Virginia, son of the late Joseph and Mabel (nee Ballard) McClure, he was a Bensalem resident for over 50 years. Charles was an ARMY veteran, then worked as a Lineman for PECO and retired after 25 years. Charles volunteered with the Bensalem Meals on Wheels during retirement for over 20 years. He was a devoted son, brother, and friend to many, and loved to cook and garden.
Charles's loss is deeply felt by his loving companion, Eleanor Wiechec; his surviving children, Joseph McClure (Linda), Michele Lindsey (Gary), and Wendy McClure (Joseph McConnell); his grandchildren, Samantha and Rebecca Lindsey; brother Jimmy; sister Saundra Biller (Brent); and several nieces and nephews. Charles is predeceased by his wife, Laura (nee LaCroix) McClure, and brothers, Richard, Michael, and Barry McClure.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to all who have shown their support during this difficult time. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Celebration of Life on Saturday, October 26, 2024, from 2-3pm, followed by a Sharing of Memories at 3pm, at the Wade Funeral Home, 1002 Radcliffe Street, Bristol Borough.
